2017 seems like a zillion years ago right?
Eight years of celebrating LGBTQIA2+ pride in North West Iowa has been a rollercoaster of emotions, many of them incredibly positive.
Change can be a good thing. Change has brought new faces, new cultures, new lessons to learn. Change has certainly been cause to become stronger.
Change can also lead us to new places… that one’s especially bittersweet.
This year marks our last Pride celebration in Orange City, and as we come together, let's cherish the incredible community we've built.
There’s a reason why our community stands tall under all the colors of creation, Its a reminder to look out for one another, to celebrate each other, to work for a safer world for all of us.
Your love, joy, and support have made these moments unforgettable. This October, let's honor the connections and memories we've created, and carry that spirit forward wherever we go.
Every rainbow that has flown in Sioux County (and beyond) has served as a lighthouse to community. Because, even if we don’t meet in October, Pride is more than the faces you see at the front of the party. Pride is YOU!
Thank you for the rainbows friends.
Love ya

About PRIde orange city
We have had a few people ask us "why".
Why here? Why Pride? Why is this important?
Pride is an opportunity for the LGBTQ+ community to come together, to lean on each other and to offer the kind of support that they don't get elsewhere in their daily communities. And it is a time for allies to come alongside and express their support for their neighbors.
Pride Orange City is here to say that we are standing beside you. Our intentions are to connect, educate, and provide valuable resources that the LGBTQ+ community can utilize.
Our home is here in Orange City and Northwest Iowa and we want everyone to feel safe and accepted. We want to educate about LGBTQ+ culture and history and to uplift and celebrate our community.
You are our family. We are proud to stand with you.
